Ted Preaching on Ben Yehuda

Ted spoke 1205 times on the streets of Jerusalem before leaving Israel.

Street Preacher from the Sudan

This is Issac Paul, he is very special, he has nothing much to loose and gives everything for what he believes. He walked all the way from the Sudan, escaping with nothing but his life. Now he works in a hotel and preaches all over Jerusalem, he is definitely....different.

Rabbi Nachman in East Jerusalem

This is the same group headed to the Mount of Olives for a burial. Orthodox Jews only go to the Mt. of Olives in large numbers at night when Arab East Jerusalem shuts down. Rabbi Nachman taught the importance of going directly to God without intermediaries, but Rabbi Nachman has become central to the religious experience.

Hassidic Worship in Zion Square

Another video from Zion square, its funny how when the car dies the music stops, hardly sustainable.

Hassidic Techno

This is a very interesting video. Hassidic Jewish followers of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov are playing techno music in Zion Square Jerusalem. They are trying to reach the young people with the message of their Rabbi, which is essentially that we always need to be happy. They also believe chanting his name will bring a blessing to peoples lives, that is what they are shouting over the music. Rabbi Nachman lived in Ukraine (1772-1810), he is the grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hassidic Judaism. Rabbi Nachman emphasized the need to speak to God in prayer.

Buying Hats For Europe

I was really thinking about a hat purchase pre-Europe, but never managed to get around to it in the crazy 2 weeks before I flew. But when Manus and Burnsie wandered into a hat shop I followed, we were both leaving to Europe in the morning. I brought them breakfast to the airport, but didn't manage to find them. My family in Germany managed to enjoy some kayk so it all worked out. Meeting these guys really gave me a fresh perspective on biking, and has got me excited about some rides that are coming up.

Agony to Ecstasy

Burnsie talks about his bike.

Israeli Robot

This is a far too common site on the streets of Jerusalem.

21st Century Navigation

Tips on finding your way to Jerusalem from South Africa, great for the directionally challenged like myself.

The Word Goes Forth

Manus starts reading the Bible for a second time in the Jerusalem post office.
